Cutting Board Care Guide

Keep your handcrafted board looking beautiful and lasting for years.

Step 1: Clean After Each Use

Wash your cutting board by hand with warm water and mild dish soap.

Use a soft sponge or cloth—avoid soaking or using the dishwasher, which can warp or crack the wood.

Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately with a clean towel.

Step 2: Disinfect Naturally (Optional)

For deeper cleaning or after cutting raw meats, disinfect naturally by wiping with white vinegar or a mixture of lemon juice and coarse salt. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Step 3: Let It Fully Dry

Stand the board upright or place it on a drying rack to ensure even air circulation.

Avoid leaving it flat on a damp surface, as this can cause warping.

Step 4: Apply Our All-Natural Board Butter (Once a Month or As Needed)

Make sure the board is completely dry before applying any oil or butter.

Using a clean cloth or your hands, scoop a small amount of our food-grade board butter and rub it evenly over the surface of the board, including the edges.

Let it soak in overnight, or for at least a few hours.

Step 5: Buff and Shine

After the board butter has absorbed, buff off any excess with a clean, dry cloth.

Your board should look refreshed, with a rich, hydrated finish.
